What the mediation is

Mediation is a method of resolving disputes, in which a neutral and unbiased third party, that is a mediator, helps parties in mutual communication, defining interests and matters for discussion, as well as in reaching out a solution acceptable for both parties. This process is voluntary, confidential and informal. Mediations differ from court judgements, in the first place because their goal is not to determine, who is right, but rather to find a solution which is satisfactory for both parties of the dispute.

We can divide into mediations court mediations – conducted as referred by the court or upon unanimous request of parties committed in the court litigation, and private mediation – conducted upon an agreement under the civil law, without intervention of the court.
Mediation can be employed in many conflicts:

  • family, marital,
  • in cases concerning succession, property and civil law,
  • labour, administration and with public authorities,
  • in commercial matters,
  • in criminal cases, in cases concerning juveniles.
